I remember reading a good review of these in some magazine..The only thing i don't like about them is that they only go down to 60hz..Maybe not the best choice for electronic music..

i got the older tannoy model.
I like them a lot, though as has been said low end is lacking in intensity.
They DO go down all the way though i donno whee scube got the sixty hz thing.
For psytrance, techno and all that they are a bit tannoying at times, but for synthesis and stuff they do the job.

Download the PDF manual and study the frequency response curve.
The Reveal series are ace IMHO - best thing I like about my 5A's is I can monitor at really low levels all day and still hear crystal clear what I'm doing. I assume the 6D's will be the same.
Consider using a sub with these, 150Hz low pass and plug the rear bass port on the Reveals for an even tighter mid-bass. Remember these are nearfields not floor standing Hi-Fi - so don't expect to get much bass from them. But do expect to have perfectly clear mid-bass all the way through to the very tops.
Mixing with these is like painting in a well lit room. It's not a hi-fi speaker for lazy sunday afteroon Jazz music, this is a serious work tool, a professional class transducer that converts electronic signals mechanically into pressure waves that get picked up by your ears.
Workmanship is garanteed for 5 years!! moving parts 1 year. How long do other people garantee their speakers for?

I got the old tannoys as well. They're preety ok for their price, and they do go lower than 60hz, but not as powerful as it should be.
No idea how the new models are though.

The figures for frequency range for speakers is specified in what range they give a reasonably flat response.
So you always get some response below the bottom frequency according to the specifiaction.
I only used the old Reveals and think they are great.
Sure they don't have very deep bass....but they are after all nearfields.
There is nearfields that give you more bass for sure, but do achive that with the limited cone size require special designs to boost the LF contents.
That many times make the resulting output in the bottom end of the spectrum not very pure and honest and is IMO making more damage than good.
If you think you really need to hear whats going on around 30-40hz and have a room that can deal with that kind of frequencies you need should really have a pair of full-range monitors as to complement your nearfields.
