hello!
ive been trying to make as many sounds as possible lately that imitate human speach...
what i came up with untill now is taking
for example a softsynth sound based on sawtooth waves and putting them through
a band pass filters with modulation on there frequency width for example the ohmforce pluggin i think its called predatohm....
but what else can you tell me about making those "aayyyyaaaayyy" "bibop" "eyya" "babpip"
type of sounds?

cheers!

Maybe you should try the 'delay lama':

yes the delay lama is a pluggin wich has that sort of effect implanted in it already...
but...what i mean is how do i take a raw
sound wich i, and then putting that sort of
carectaristics of speach on it.

With a vocoder you can get some weird voice-like synth sounds and you could try using two bandpass filters in parallel, each with their own freq.

On K-v-r i saw a filter plugin with some formant like filters made for making speech like sounds, but i forgot the name and i am to lazy to search now, sorry but u need to look for urself (maybe i look later )            Signature

Also bit reduction effects make voice sounds. Try the one in z3ta+. It's called decimate or something like that.

Take a synth with a good sync feature

Osc1 - sin.
Osc2 - saw (or something else).
Sync osc 2 to osc 1.
Pitch osc1 down a couple octaves below Osc2.
Turn volume of osc1 to 0 so that you only hear osc 2.
Set the filter to a bandpass filter.

Now as your melody plays, twist the filter open and closed. It should start to sound like the synth is 'talking'.

Now as you're modulating the filter, grab the semitone or fine tune knob of Osc 2's pitch and twist it. The synth will really start to 'squak'. On a good synth the thing will explode with squelches and twitters and all kind of weird noises.

Hope that helps.

Z3ta, Vanguard, and Monologue to name a few, but any synth with a sync feature and a bandpass filter should do.

I think Vanguard sounds the best, like some sort of beast.

If you can scoop up a synth, that's based on "formant-synthesis" you should be golden - It derives from modelling the (what-the-H are they called) tone-heads in the throat, to create vowels... Add noise, and you're talking jibberish
