Has anyone managed to make a kick like Talamasca's, the one with the clicky sound in it?
I have many drum samples, but I have nothing that resembles it. I tried to combine a clicky sound with the kick, but I had no good result.
Could someone be kind enough to email me a kick like this, if you have it?
It is on the 1st, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th song of his new record, Zodiac.
I like it cause it is dynamic, but at the same time transparent. My e mail adress is :
Mantata2001@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks

Hi...
I recommend you to invest in the Access Virus C synthesizer!
(I think) That's the best way for creating quality drums like you want them and everything else!!
Best synth for danceproduction!!!
...and ofcause a good compressor to do the trick!!

for what i heard, talamasca is quite an Reaktor master...

reaktor is a powerfull program, that allows to built your own sinths and effects processors, it is said to be capable of reproducing ANY sound...!

having said that, i quite talamasca only uses software...

I have used reaktor for about a year, haven´t used since i got some hard sinths, the other day I wen´t to play with reaktor again, I was truly amazed, I really believe it has no comparison with any other soft sinths,

if you have reaktor try for example junatic, a sinth built for reaktor available for download for free, its just amazing!

Anyway this is bit out of subject, personally i don´t care if talamasca uses soft sinths or not, but i really belive reaktor can replicate sounds as powerfull as most hard sinths. The first album of Cosma was made with no hard sinths at all, and was produced a really cheap soundblaster soundcard, what do u think about that...

hummm...what I think is that it is true that expensive equipment surely gives us plenty on super amazing sounds,
but to make good music what you need is
whats betwen your ears,
some experience,
and a lot of dedication!

hey flouro i totally agree wid u on tht ,....
and thanks to whoeva gave tht talamasca interwicw link ...

so as ppl are saying tht hardware v/s softare which is ultimately i think wat this post is heading 4 , i would like to share my views ..

hardware no doubt at anytime gives better sounds but dont forget those ppl also charge u a bomb 4 that ...

on the other hand i being a synthesis expert dont think of sound any sound tht software just cant emulate ...

see for a sound to be emulated first its spectral content , timbre and envelope have to undestood and then using any kind of synthesis [ i prefer fm ] , tht sound can be recreated ...

if u ppl wanna go the fast way , buy a hardware , start makin ur tracks on those pre built sounds and there ure ready wid ur album ...

but my frnds it dosent go this way ....

if u really wanna make ur tracks learn to make ur sounds even though it may take a while , but is ultimately wat pays off ..
