Hi,

i have two dogs that are with me at almost all times. Therefore I am considering taking them to some festivals with me. Now, I have been to psy gatherings and fests myself but never with the dogs(they are both 1y old).
I would be really grateful if i could get some responses preferably from dog-owners on your experiences with dogs and fests, especially since this will be dogs first fests ever( i will of course first introduce them to smaller gatherings before taking them to somewhat bigger events).
My biggest concerns are dogs sniffing around food stalls and trying to steal food from them and from other people or consuming something funny from the ground (although i am a responsible dog caretaker and would provide them with food and water, they would be with me at all times except when going to the MainStage or near the loud music whatsoever..)
Thank you for the time you spent on reading through my msg and maybe responding to it..:)

Yeah, why not take them, submit them to unbelievable pain of high sound pressure level, and permanently damage their hearing while you're at it! A dogs ear can hear so much louder than your own... Goa parties are not a good place for dogs, sorry!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I hate dogs are parties, most of the time owners let them unatended.

Parties are no place for dogs. Or cats (yes last party I saw TWO guys with cats).           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

I really don't think people should let their dogs run loose at places like that, not everyone feels at ease around dogs they don't know, especially if they are a bigger breed. My dog is tiny and I've had people being terrified just cause he is so happy and hyper and they mistake it for agression. Another issue is when multiple people bring their dogs and they end up fighting.

I don't know about music damaging their hearing since dogs are sensitive to different frequencies than humans. I've seen dogs very close to speakers, but I'm not sure if they were just not bothered or too focussed on finding food to care.

My biggest concern is people letting dogs run unattended and not cleaning their poop :/

Don't take your dogs to a festival. They won't like it and other attendents usually don't like it. I for one don't enjoy having dogs around on festivals.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
