u cant clean all the background. depends on which frequency they are (everything that u filter will harm the voice too), but its..pretty impossible.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

Ok.
You take an orange, a lemon and a mandarine and make a juice out of them.
Can you seperate each juice after it's all mixed? No.

Same here. You can try using different techniques (phase invertion, filtering, gating) but you will never get anything even close to perfect.

The procces itself is very easy, (invert phase -> make mono), but the results are usually quite bad.

how about just downloading a accapella version of it from the artists site (if possible) or even asking to do a bootleg (even more possible)???

you just cant do that just because the main voice freq's are 1khz-3khz (also can be 100hz and 8khz)
,and you have other instruments like percussion like bass or kick or melodies or whatever it is..
you can try but you will never get clean result
