Taiga Productions is throwing its very first party called TAIGA.

From the Taiga forest rests at the deep of its recesses a musical portal transferring a variety of ingenuity to share amongst fellow humans outside the perimeter of the forest. Baga Yaga, the witch who is keeper of all of Taiga, focuses on welcoming all forms of music, mainly psychedelic trance, for an experience everyone to enjoy.

The party will be located south of San Francisco in Redwood City at the Oddstat Gallery. The party begins on Friday November 11, 2005 at 10 pm and goes on through the night into the after party hosted by Zul.

Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door.

*** For more info please visit: http://www.worldvibe.com/taiga

We will be having a variety of artists such as:
Mobius (Live Russian Band)
Jesi (Taiga)
Quasar (M.O.E.)
Parus (Auraquake)
Alien Mental (M.O.E.)
Mubali (M.O.E./Trishula Records)

Chill Out Room:
Tiko

Visual Artist:
EgNogRa, aka Guillermo Alarcon http://www.egnogra.com

Sound by:
Tantra

Altar by:
Takuan and Josie

More info about the artists:
Mobius http://www.mobius.info/index.html
The band Mobius was born sometime in October of 2004 in the city of Sunnyvale. It consists of Russian music with lyrics written by Eugene Tarasov, the bands lead singer. Leonid Sokolovsky who plays the durms and percussion, Ashot Mnjoyan as the bass player, guitarist Nazim Chambi, beautiful signer and dancer Alisa Rabin, as well as Seth Lyubich who is the band’s co-producer and recording engineer.

Jesi - Tagia
A local dj of Redwood City, Jessica began dj-ing in the year of 2003 after a year of being introduced to such music that represents the complexities of the human mind. This brought inspiration to share a mixture of morning psytrance with a punch in the kick and bass to put you in the mood to boogie on the dance floor.

Parus – Auraquake http://auraquake.com/artists.htm
Valentin and Mark Tarasov are two Russian twins who are currently living in San Francisco. After being introduced to psychedelic trance in year 2000, two years after, the idea of PARUS was invented. Their style of psychedelic trance is a mixture of darkness and melodic themes which take you to an uncharted journey within the mind.

Mubali – M.O.E./Trishula Records http://www.mistressofevil.com
With a tight bass line Mubali is sure to win you over while dancing on the dance floor. Gregory Farley is a local dj of San Francisco who has a wide variety of music as background ranging from jazz to heavy metal. He composes music to really give your self a mind expanding experience.

Alien Mental – M.O.E. http://www.mistressofevil.com
La, from Chennai, India, has been a musician since the age of 16. His taste in music is in a variety of genres where he then fuses together to create an individualistic style of dark psychedelic trance. His main intention is for the dancer to become aware of their surroundings so that they’ll be able to break through the cultural differences and eventually become part of a collective group that is able to get along.

Zul – Synchronize http://www.worldvibe.com/synchronize
Zul is a local dj living in San Francisco. Having inspiration from listening to heavy/thrash/death metal, Zul has been a musician since his college days. By using the bass line, Zul mixes dark psychedelic trance to form a nonstop set that is one to remember.

Unfortunately, due to outside priorities, Amanda (M.O.E.) will be unable to play, but in exchange we are having Quasar (M.O.E.) play his fractal gliding mind bending psychedelic trance!

Hope to see you all there!!!

For sure! This is bound to be an awesome show... I haven't gone to see a rock band play in quite a long time and to combine it with some crazy psychedelic trance as well... hell yeah! See you there for sure!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Wow, that was an awesome party! Many many thanks to the Taiga crew for putting on an excellent show. Mobius is a really good band, and I urge you guys to check them out if you're a rock fan. Outstanding sets by Jesi, Quasar, Parus (which I had never heard before), and Alien Mental... Big thanks to Ataraxia for doing the side chillout room and a very special thanks to Zul and the crew for an awesome afterparty with special guest Penta!           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

yeah, Parus surprised many of us at Burning Man this year when they came out banging - one of the best hard dark sets i've heard in a long time. I was expecting their more funky/proggy side, and was very much surprised and blown away by the set they did that night.

looking forward to their first release on Auraquake in a few weeks!

          ..it's just another party..
