How are you going to compress something with a dynamic eq?
@vipal: looks nice, will try it

Naja, eq a frequency out only when it reaches a certain threshold...

wich is a different thing than compressing the whole frequency range
A frequency selective compressor would be nice actualy but one could even send the signal to a return channel use a bandpassfilter to just compress the mids for example..

It is a very smart thing that dynamic eq for sure and it comes in really helpful if you record a singer f.e. who just always kind of sreams while singing certain notes...especially if he/she is kinda arrogant person or whatever and you start arguing with him/her...then just record it and use a dynamic eq to filter the harsh frequency and problem is solved..
for synth sounds hmm, i dont now since usually there are not much unexpected frequencys if you`r used to the signal and your automation..
but a freq selective compressor is a nice idea...compress the mids of a lead and leave the top uncompressed to get best of both...defined mids and dynamic highs..one would need to eq out the mid band for instance in the root signal, then send to a return channel and just put in that band and compress the hell out of it lol..
its kinda idea of ms processing where you f.e. compress the mono part and leave the sides alone..
i will try that for sure mate.. you inspire!
edit: Very nice! with this your definatly able to seperate a signale from the whole mix and create kinda new space
