It fits Hadra's profile quite well imho.           http://www.chillumafia.com

Awesome album.
From start to finish.

maybe it will sit with Vataff Project - another (or the other?) act with a mono-style...

I was just listening to Vataff to today. So dreamy and unique! I haven't heard anything off "Running Up That Hill" yet beyond "sinking". Now I'm curious to see if I can name anything similar when I give it a listen.

Thanx, but no, vataff doesn`t fit in mho. It doesn`t fit that gothic fable flair of Sysyphe. Vataff is more foggy forest music.
Anyone knows gothic influenced psy chill like Sysyphe? It´s a really fantastic piece of music.
I would bet, that there is nothing like this around, hehe . that`s the cool thing with chill, it`s so unique.

Finally received copy today. It's a great album with a melancholy and dreamy mood.

Although it's very unique the guitar parts remind me of some Dead Can Dance and Mystical Sun tracks.

Ja, it surely partly reminds on something else, but then drifts away to something unique again and as a whole seems to be totally unique to me.

I am enjoying the samples indeed. Wasn't going to investigate this on until i saw that Headphone Commute are featuring a mix by Sysyphe:

This has now been moved to my wishlist. Great stuff that stands out for me from the crowd.

this is a really choice mix, have listened many times over the last few days, smooth mixing, great track selection, flow etc... I know I'm enjoying a mix when I can visualize a dreamy chill out in a forest somewhere beaming out these kind of sounds.... exquisite. This chap is talented for sure.

Lately some of us here are saying that Psychill/Psybient is not what it used to be, and I agree but not completely. In my opinion there are still some good releases that pop out every once in a while, and 'Running Up that Hill' is one of them.

"it revives echoes from the beautiful psychedelic ambient of the end of the 90s and early beginning of the 2000s."

Two unreleased tracks by Sysyphe with a similiar vibe like "Running up that Hill" are up on soundcloud, both available as a free download.
