Notice on allot of the professional producers on here, you've almost got the same spacing in tracks...

So what is the formula behind the logic...

Four bar Sections, with one bar breaks?

Basically got a track that sounds like progressive, yet need a methodology to dissect it systematically.

Usually after 8 bars(4 kicks each)I either add a break and a new element(or change the rhythm/melody of an existing one) or just add a new element! 16 only if I'm doing progressive and 32 for goa. Or a mixture of all within a track depending on winch secction youre working in(chorus, M8, A, B)           http://www.MindDoctorsMakeAcid.com

feel the music and how your mind and body would like to hear it. in general, yes things in trance go by groups or multiples and divisions of four, but you decide how you want to lay out and stretch your story.
