System 7 is a band based around Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy. We released our first System 7 record in August 1990, and since then have released 9 albums and a string of singles with some classic remixes. We are one of the few techno groups to feature the electric guitar (with the sound often heavily processed), and to have a female synthesiser player. We have been part of the development of Techno and Ambient music for many years, and our mission is to continue with that process. Many of our tracks are made with guest collaborators - DJs and members of other groups. We have developed a live performance approach that is a bit more extreme than our records, with tougher beats and hypnotic live echo loops. We oppose frontiers and rigid divisions, both within the music scene and in the world at large. We feel part of a musical movement of dance-based rhythms and psychedelic ambience that embraces the whole plnet, and through our friends and collaborators we seek a network of highly creative people.Steve Hillage Formerly a member of prog-rock act Gong but best known as half of ambient/techno duo System 7 and as a frequent collaborator with The Orb.

DARSHAN /EXCESSION SET
This is Grant Collins solo project aimed squarely at 4x4 techno and progressive house/trance. Intelligent, and with real attention to detail, his music always takes the listener on a vast aural journey. Using massive beats and never a cliche in sight. Excession brings dynamic and tight, addictive sonics to the dancefloor . With releases on Iboga, Fire and Flying Rhino, his music has been championed by Sasha, Lee Burridge, Danny Tenaglia and Anthony Pappa amongst the many... basically, his music speaks for itself.Grant started collecting music in the early 80’s, first got into electronic music via the Original Electro Series and became a massive fan of the early R&S material and Joey Beltram. Grant set up under the psy trance 'Darshan' moniker, releasing with Flying Rhino Records in the mid 1990's, and has also released under 'Correlian' with Cass Cutbush, and currently as 'Excession' and 4D.

SOLAR QUEST UK
Solar Quest is a one-man ambient and acid trance music project founded in 1993 by George Saunders and its aim is to combine renewable solar energy with electronic music.Solar Quest was founded when Saunders got interested in acid house in the beginning of the 1990’s. In 1993 and 1994 he had as much as nine releases, of which two were full length albums (the other under alias Entropica). The track Acid Air Raid, released in 1993, is one of the classics of acid techno and next year’s dreamy Orgship is a significant release in ambient music.For the annual Glastonbury Performing Arts Festival Solar Quest has often produced a solar energy powered ambient concert tent and a lot of its music has been recorded and mixed in a studio powered by solar energy.Saunders has had cooperation with e.g. British DJ Choci, under whose record label Choci’s Chewns most of Solar Quest’s early releases were published. The British singer Kirsty Hawkshaw’s vocals can be heard on many of them. A remix collection of Alan Parsons’ song Apollo is among the more obscure Solar Quest releases.
