In Cakewalk you need the Instrument Definitions... Then for each channel you choose a bank then choose a patch frmo the list. That's how my CS1x work anyway... Not a single sound I can't reach from Cakewalk. |

cool then one of the peice of gear is the CS6x i should figure something out...thanks instrument definitons are they for download by the manufactuer? and do i need them for each peice of gear..for example..playing a set..here comes time for the next track..i am thinking at this time the sequencer is going to kick data to to correct midi connected instrument. and change the patch to the correct one, we are using a Juno 106,Yamaha Cs6x,Jp8000,Xp60 ( i know it has a sequencer, its nuts to master though) |

I don't know how to control multiple devices over cakewalk but I guess that in track properties you choose the correct port for that specific instrument? Anyway after you choose the port and channel you get a list of banks and patches for that portchannel. If you don't then go to: 1. OptionsMIDI Devices: Choose all the ports you have. 2. OptionsInstruments: Select all 16 channels of each port and assign to it the Instrument it uses from the list in the right. If it doesn't appear there, click Define then Import then you get a list of .ins files, so open them and choose your istrument.
That should do it. |
