Hi guys. Any recommendations for some synths/vsts to make nice melodies? Yes i know, its possible with any(albino, vanguard, zeta, dsp etc etc.) But something more unique or interesting? Like for ex. I find Reason a nice tool to make melodies. So was wondering if u all cld suggest something interesting. Tried the search, but cldnt find anything substantial

Thnx... cheers

Melodies aren't really all about the synth, as you said it right, any kind of synth can do melody, it's your musical skills that dictates the melody + add fx to make it move (filters, flanger, phaser, use glides etc) If you set a couple of osc on different octaves it helps get a fuller sound, but in the end it's all about playing with notes and progression...           Monitoring devices, know where you go

Yes i knw. But i was just wondering if there is anything particularly nice for it. Like how vanguard/albinos are good for saw leads etc etc.

Make a melody, split it into several parts, place this parts on different channels, and make different synths play different parts.

Or even every note can be played with different sound.

Electric Piano?

Anything that's not a drum synth even which with the right sampling you can do some good melodies.

Or a less sarcastic answer look for synths with detailed portamento settings like the albino as these can make a tune sound much more detailed and expressive.

u can do it like dat, but also easier atleast for me id send a midi program change i like midi and serves to me more flexible. but definitly ur way works great and has its own advantages over midi both ways implented yield great results... i think learning each others ways of working the same can make both parties realize that it maight be alot alike but in the end have differnt results i hope that made sense...
medea did u make ur own avatar it looks cool like some nintendo game evil character, mario world type thing

if u get ur sounds right from vanguard n albino, maybe u shud use a lot of delays , fewer notes and more theory.

i think that works.... hmm lemme go check.
