Hmm, I think a lot of synths would do the job good.
Although I think one synth in particular is very good for glitching sounds without having to dig into deep programming and stuff.
And that's actually Surge.

Besides this being rated amongst the highest for pure soundquality, this synth offers a sample & hold filter.
Really anything you send thru the s&h filter turns into something glitchy and metallic.
I haven't really done too much with Surge, but I read about its filter somewhere else and had a brief try, and that filter alone is crazy!
Besides the rest of its soundcharacter.
Just a very stable, crunchy and bright sound.
There are probably many more synths which would do the job, but I would for now choose for Surge.

Any kind of synth that has a nice sounding square wave oscillator and good filter, will do. a good sample library of rim shots is needed and general bleepy drum synth sounds.
you can do all the glitch with glitch plug ins, or intricate audio editing.
Bog standard sine wave for subs is essential

Try out the Lennardigital Sylenth1, many modulation possibilities and a good soundoutput.
The only thing i miss is a swing option on the appregiator.

Reaktor, if you're patient and willing to spend a while learning it. Lots of great stuff you can do for techy percussion with the factory instruments.
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

... and an audio-in function so I can use that wonderful filter for all my sweeping needs :S

Well, that's cool!
I didn't know that.
Means I can run my favourite synth (Albino 3) thru this thing to spice it up a little. |

No, we stated what we missed in the instrument, not what features we liked. They do not exist
