Israel is one of the most productive places in the world as far as electronic music is concerned (as you trance people, already know… :-] )
The number of electronic producers is constantly growing and as a result, there is a growing demand of knowledge in certain aspects of music creation in electronic music.
Resonance school is proud to present, as pert of our KITAT-AMAN workshops, one workshop that we believe is very close to the hearts of trance producers (among others) . that workshop is
SYNTHESIS WORKSHOP.
The workshop will take place at Resonance school and will be conducted by Aasf Dar.
Asaf is a musician, technician, producer and a "synthesizer's architect". He created the critically acclaimed "Flexor" – software modular synthesizer based on creamwere's Scope platform.
At the workshop, Asaf will demonstrate techniques for building your own unique sounds ; new synthesis methods and last (but nor least) – will offer his opinion about sounds the students themselves will bring to class.
Asaf will try to remove some of the mystery regarding some of the industry most kept secrets of the world's leading sound creators, and thus open a window to the bold and wonderful world of the synthesizers available to everyone these days.
The workshop will deal with exotic synthesis methods, methods you can utilize to help you create crazy and most important – unique – sounds.
Some of the topics discussed at the workshop are :
1) Wave shaping
2) Granular synthesis
3) Algorithmic and fractal composition
4) Wave sequencing
5) FOF
6) Vosim
7) Constant formant synthesis
8) Dynamic filtering
9) Pitch Related Proccesing
The workshop require basic knowledge with synthesis and is aimed for those who want to broaden their knowledge as far as new sounds are concerned.
The work will take place on Friday, the 14th of November 2006 from 10:30 – 14:30

maybe ask asaf to make another flexor version. this one then for the tcpowercore dsp's. after all its also dsp programming and he should be good in this. |
