hey!
when i listen to some tracks the synths sounds they use sound serious.. sound professional..
i try to do some patches and even use the ones already existing in the synths and they seem to not sound serious.. they seem to be playing..
imagine someone talking, you can give diferent sound to ur voice.. like more serious.. more kidding.. more . .. . .
get the idea?
anyone would be nice enought to give me some tips.... ?
i have lots of soft synths.. no hard synth thought

Use smart delays, and fxs like flangers or phasers
also, in my opinion the notes will be the more important thing to make it serious or funny, the feeling is in the notes u put...
use reaktor, pro 53, v-station, lots of good soft synths out there 
also compress the synth if needed...
and put some reverb on it...
and some expander or some stereo spread...
lol, basically theres a lot that can be done with a synth to make it more "serious" I guess, lol
r u using logic?good synths on logic platium also...

there's a magic box, which anything you put through it, it comes out sounding god damn serious - and pro!
NOT...
give touches of Reverb - give touches of EQ.
compress if needed.
I should say that - it'll take time untill you figure this out. Can't really do it on ur own instantly.
