i have a particular synth patch i made in vanguard that sounds the way i want it inside cubase while the program is running and when its in midi...
if i try to export - whether to wav and then in the arrange or just plainly export midi as part of the whole track - it sounds bad!

why the hell is this? i have a phaser on it but they dont even sound right.... so i dont think its that. maybe its the trance gate on it...
any clues on a method to have my line recorded as the way i hear it ?

wata... aren't you a an isra moderator?
i thought you knew of everything!

a quick one on it, because too, i think you could make us understand better whats going on
make this easy test
.new project
.build a midi track playing the synth with the patch you're talking about
.solo this track you want to record
.add an audio track, and solo it too
.hit record
now you sould have it being recorded, the midi track/synth as its being played, as you been hearing it
clear?... oh not!? ;/

i think it should be the phaser or the LFO. try removing them and check how it sounds.

why not this way
if u have a sound card with at leasst 2 output and more than 1 input ..GOOD ,

put the channel were the vanguard is for the output 3-4 , and then put a cable RCA or JACK depending on your sound card , getting out from the output , and conect the outher part for one of the input's

go to cubase , put a audio track select the correct input were the signal of the vanguard is ,put solo option and then select only the midichannel were the vanguard is(output3-4)and select the audio track were the file will be reked(input X-Y) , then press REC

is the best option , if u get this anoying issue.

and dithering wouldn't do this , so if u have it on let it on .

take care
