synth keeps changeing back on a midi file

Hi, i downloaded this midi file and when i put it in cubase and change the synth layout everything is ok, but when i play it again the synth layout changes back to the layout it was before i changed it.
so does anybody know how to fix this?

Never mind,
Problem solved by copying the steps from the midi file into a new midi channel

there was probably a program change command recorded in the midi part..
You can use the logical editor in cubase to clean that or you can manually delete all the automation inside the event
