Which are the best synths to start off with.
Cuz I thought about saving enough to get a Virus or a Norg. But i could just start off with something like a Korg MS2000 or something else. I cant put my finger on it. Any suggestions will help thank you. |

getting my first hard synth, ive been producing for alittle over a year now. But i'm lookin into getting a electribe and hard synth too |

Before buying a synth i think you should try and know somethin' about it's sound..
Do u really like it's sound, caracter ?

Learn to use samplers right...and definatly know your synth and what it can do......or what makes it so special...
just spend 200€ on Zebra and you will get one hell of a synth..you can even create your own osc out of any sample
(upto16samplesmorphedbtw)
so really think about spending so much moneay...i know it is cool to got some hardware and to turn knobs etc...but in the end the sound matters. But how you achived it is irrelevant...
just save the money for a good interface or monitors like fireface 400 and AdamA7/p11..or dynaudios..
really..thats the most important step next to room compensation..

agreed, the electribe is more like a Toy. SyLEnth blows this machine away

For a first synth, you can't really go wrong with a used Nord 2x. (imo)

i use my virus c coz of cpu... and i wouldn't buy it anymore altough it's a nice machine.
software will do to make good music.
synths you need for other reasons |
