i have an old synth in my house, i bought a midi cable today but i cant get it to play as a control keyboard...
how do i make the reason sequencer to play sounds from the midi keyboard??

well i dont know i just want to be able to play the notes from the synth instead of clicking them with the mouse, my question is how do i adjust the sound card or the reason to enable this...

do you have a soundcard??
if you do then go to preferences, then choose midi
and select the soundcard you are using. |

yhaa i did that but i think there is something to adjust in the reason preferences too...
ohh and i have some kind of Audigy sound card not sure which one though...

In control Panel check which sound card you have. Than go to Reson and make sure the Audio card you had selected matchs the one you have.
Also make sure your midi connection in correct (midi in to midi out/ midi out to midi in). |

the sound card is creative audigy sb... it's one version beneath the platinum audigy card (if it helps...)
anyway i checked everything but i still cant make it work

tray to select midi port in reason options you will have to select a record midi port select lets say chanel 1 and your midi in in reason chanel 1

i think he have the same problem as most ppl have at first synth contact....
you must been connected like this:
midi in>>> midi in
midi out >>> midi out
its wrong,
connect it like that:
midi in>>> midi out
midi out >>> midi in
