Any opinions about this choice..? I would like to learn only one of them very well.
I like Synth 1 VERY much but I am keeping open the option of switching to Mac in the future. Is there any way to use Synth 1 in Mac..?
I like the effect section of Synth 1 (with distortions and decimator) and I really don't need the layering of Discovery. I would really be interested in opinions of somebody that have used both of them a lot. Is Discovery as CPU and memory efficient as Synth 1? I like Synth 1 particularly because of its efficiency.
Can you change the color of Discovery synth skin..? I suppose no product development is done anymore on Synth 1, I suppose if it works in 64-bit windows, it isn't that big problem, but any experiences about the stability..?

As to running Synth1 on Mac, I can't remember the name off the top of my head and I'm not a Mac user, but I've heard of a plug-in converter/bridge that allows you to run VSTs in Logic. I'm sure that someone here can give you a push in the right direction.
As goes for the Discovery skin, you're presented with two options upon installing the software: either the red "NL rack"-like version or the standard blue version. Perhaps there's a way to modify the skin even further, but as far as I know there are no similar possibilities with Discovery as with Synth1 (a few years ago I was using Synth1 in every track and I loved the colour-code skin option ).

ill stay with both i use them both alot..with synth1 im capable of lot of diferent kind of synth sounds, from sounds for melodic leads to very twisted forest atmosferic stuff.
with discovery im more "instinct" by tweaking the ARP knobs section, i like its filtering and delay its very cool. i made this tutorial -->
