Synth 1 still stabile and working with new OS and hosts..?

Hey, does anybody have experience of Synth 1 in new environments and hosts, especially 64-bit Windows 7? Does it work in Mac..? And is it still stabile?
After going through tens of synths in last months I thought that maybe this is the best all purpose psy synth because one instance takes less than 5MB of RAM, so I would get anymore constant memory full problems. But I would not want to learn a synth that does not work in an operating system that I am likely to switch in the future.
