Hey. Did anyone managed syncing Traktor to external hardware?
Basically I want to control the BPM on Traktor with the "Tempo" knob on my Novation Remote.
I managed to do it the other way around - controlling the BPM on the Novation with Traktor, but other than having the light blinking in sync with the BPM it's quite useless. They are obviously communicating though - which is nice to begin with.
Anyway, the Traktor manual mentions a MIDI Setup preferences page where I choose sync stuff - but that page doesn't exist. There is only a MIDI Clock page with output options (that's how I got it controlling the Novation), but no input options.

So how do I make it work?

not sure this works, i dont have a novation remote to try with, but give it a shot and set CLOCK MASTER to EXTernal

You can find it on the upper left where the metronome is located.

Also make sure your Novation is listed as a device under the controller manager page.

maybe u need to map it to your controller?

Add in -> Master Clock -> Pitch Bend up & down?

Set the mode to INC and DEC

But the Tempo knob doesn't send any CC's, it sends MIDI Clock.

wierd.. it should work as your remote sends MIDI Clock if its set to external in traktor..

Works fine for me when i tried to sync my mixer.

Maybe something with the Novation.
Is there a way to see if it's actually sending MIDI Clock?

You could maybe try MIDIOX and pass your MIDI signals through it. It should give you an exact breakdown of what signals are being sent.           http://www.soundcloud.com/Coterminous
