Swedish composer aka Daniel Segerstad aka SYNC24 presents his second solo album [ Comfortable Void ], a fresh dive into deep downtempo and acid ambient soundscapes.
After the much acclaimed release of [ Source ] in 2007 and two outstanding albums with his other project Carbon Based Lifeforms, Daniel Segerstad immersed himself in his studio and adsorbed his musical influences to compose a truly intimate and picturesque album.
In a continuous mix of 10 tracks, crispy electronica flirts with soothing ambient, floating atmospheres and melodies take root in finely crafted synth textures while pulsating bass line and warm rhythms set the pace of this multidimensional musical journey.

Wonderful, sounds good at first glance. Hypnotic rhythms and deep dronescapes accompanied by - indeed - satisfying amounts of acid. I like the cover of the release as well as the very title: the 'comfortable void' sounds like a mindset I very much like, one accessable via the right kind of music.
Strangely enough I never got into Source, a chronic mistake I definitely ought to correct soon.
Anyhow, ordered. |

Great news. Heard the 1st album again last night. Oozes deep hypnotic pads and this one sounds nice too. Cant Wait.

I'm nervous about this release. I love Source, and this sounds nothing like it.
I'm not questioning Daniel's or Ultimae's work whatsoever, I just love Source that much. |
