Thing is a friend and I booked train tickets with the Scotsman for only £20 return, so the whole trip should be reasonably cheap. Sharing a hotel room also helps keep the cost down.

I had a very lovely time... it was so lovely to see people that I hadn't seen for a while...
I thought the music and decor was fantastic!!!
but, however it's such a shame to see sobbery at a psy-trance party... we were trying to find a place to put our coats and wandered back stage, only to have someone tell us: "this is for the v.i.ps only" (told us off) fair play! but this is not the sprit of a psy-trance party... especially as that same person, used some of my decor, without even asking me... Funky love? Hmmm...
I was very upset that I missed toms set! I hear that it was very good! Well done!
I hope to see all you lovely people this month... especially at TICON!!!

I decided to come to this party at noon saturday, when i came home from a cozy Drona (www.dona.be) party... booked myself a train-ticket and left for london, to meet up with Tom A. before the party. Having found my way to his place, he swiftly guided me to some beer and the party place where more belgians had arrived already (to boldly go where not many belgians have gone before...)
Some of the deco pieces people where putting up where simply amazing, I don't think i've ever seen a fish that big  not to mention the bird that was put up behind the dj!
After a few hours of hanging around the doors opened, Tom started playing and people entered the party place (in belgium people wouldn't visit that early... then again in our case it's more likely to party untill 6 in the afternoon than 6 in the morning )
The soundsystem in this place was simply amazing, despite the huge dimensions of the place it still sounded crystal clear whereever you would stand (80Kwatt seems to be a lot )
I'd give a proper review of the music played that night but due to a lack of sleep the night before, and adequate amounts of alcohol I seem to have missed a few hours
It was nice meeting you guys, and you can be sure that you'll see me again at one of the future Symbiosis events!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. For once we did not go to an after party, just sat around drinking jack and coke at home, cos the party was just sooo good! To have the pleasure of Dimitri closing, was just spot on, I only wish he could have carried on for another 3 hours, as he was just getting warmed up! The rest of the night was a blur of fun and dancing...
Sesto Sento was nice and fluffy, as was Cosmosis. A little disappointed with Absolum, just a little too hard for my liking.
Nice to see some familiar faces as well, and everywhere you looked was blissed out types just loving the vibe!
Well done to the Symbiosis crew. A superb party, and even the security was friendly at the Rex!! |

yeah i agree with my colleagues that this was an A-MAZING party....... tops for me was dmitry at the end .... i thought the eagle on the wall behind the DJ was incredible, as was the decor in general....
the other cool thing was that all the rooms I went into were good.... I enjoyed sitting in the proggy-housey-breaks room for a while, and also in the chillout, as well as 'having it large' in the main room.
hehe absolum was funny. Cos the sound was so good , when he first came on I was, like, 'holy shit dude this is awesome' but then after 30 minutes I left the room... it was too much.... pretty similar to when I saw him last in the rex.
And the sound was really good i think.... but Ive got a cold so what do I know.
I suspected this would be a good one cos the Symbiosis crew know what they are doing etc etc but it was even better than I was hoping....
lots of happy memories hoorah! Plus lots of people came out of the woodwork.. hmm in fact I suppose I was one of them cos I havent been out much lately.

My first party experience in London!!! I liked the music and the decoration! Shame about the venue, I HATED THE REX !!! Security was so horrible and rude to people and also they were everywhere, even in the WCs. One of them took my friends mobile phone and never gave him back! I think my friend was not the only one. I heard that they even took some people's money as well. By the way I don't take any drugs. I wasn't worried to be cought. I just don't like to be treated like that. I hope there are better clubs in London.

That was a lot of fun. Really glad everyone seemed to have enjoyed it. Anyway, it was sooooo many people that made this party so good. The Symbiosis crew have been truly on the case, and a big thank you to all of you. A great chemistry is forming between all of us, and its amazing. Steve, you really kept your guarantee: the sound was fucking amazing !!! All the djs and acts, thanks so much for taking part in this. All the live acts where so down to earth, really friendly guys up for a laugh. Francis as always, those where some impressive visuals, especially the scene which you made with the layers of the flyer. And of course, Anton….. keep designing these wicked flyers. Crystal Filed crew….. you guys are always up for it in the best of spirits, really glad you are part of this !!! Tribe of Frog, Orchid House, Kriston and Crew…. my god did you make the place look amazing. There was such a good energy between all the people working together before the party. And the biggest thank you goes to the crowed. What an energetic bunch.
Barman: On the whole we have had good response about the security. If you had some problem with them please, please contact me (PM). If they took your phone we would like to confront them and do our best to get it back. Please do get in touch, lets not let them get away with such behaviour.
Well, that’s it for now. We are really looking forward to the next one, Dado is one of my personal favourites. I have seen him mix a bunch of times and he always blew me away. Hope to see you all on the 13th with the same electric energy.

indeed a great party....very nice decoration and finally the sound was good.
i got in early to see tom playing, and yes it was good, nice progressive stuff.
then i think matan did a dj set, sorry but i really didnt like his set.
cosmosis started a live act at 24:00 wich i think its a bit early, half of his set was so so and the other half was very good, nice techi-psy sounds.
when absolum playied for some reason the sound become really good and loud, which i really liked.
and the last live act was sesto sento...hmmm quite nice (but to be honest not really my cup of tea)
dimitri gave a really good set, most of the music was new and unreleased.
all in all a good party with very nice crowd and great vibe.
ps. the chill-out area was amazing.

This was tribe of frog deco? verrrry interesting i'm expecting you guys in belgium in march! looking forward to it already! why wasn't this mentioned on the flyer? (or was it?)

hmmm I also had no problems with the security, and have never seen any problems.... I havent known anyone personally who has ever had any problems with them.
on the other hand I know lots of people who have had repeatedly had trouble with the security at the SE1.... so that's why I prefer the rex by miles.
Oh... a friend had 'something' taken off her at the door by the security on saturday, but was then let into the club. Can't really complain too much about that though... all part of the game!!
