sx3 still relies on the F11 instrument window, C5 has integrated the instrumentchannel with a midi channel. Sometimes it's a hazzle getting everything routed correctly. And some sx plugins might be missing but you can just copy/paste them in your vst folder.
Other than that it should in theory be working, I on the other hand had some troubles opening old projects. The majority of the files worked but needed some trial/error testing
Good luck.

Well for starters it seems clearer maybe it's just me, vb-1 is f***ed up, cant seem to make it work.
But for now i'm liking the inbuilt eq and the studio eq |

Its like puting an old sick chicken with an young vigorous horny rooster in same cage or taking a 22 years old car to race in the 'Formula' . Vb1 got an old technology and sound , This vst (Those days) When there X100 (And more) better bass's vsts around is an more for the memory of the good/far old days of the past .
Never use vb on the C5 but may its because of using Win 7 ? Had same problem few years ago when tryd a vst (That i liket at the time) call - D'kota (Very old but great) , So i understand theres plugin's that not fit to this kind of technology .

the thing is i like the timbre of vb-1, it's not easy to find in other vst's, alltough i did manage a nice bass yesterday with alien 303 for the first time but it took me a while , i need to take a workshop or something, i have 2nd thoughts of what i'm doing most of the time
So far i'm liking C5 very much, that grid the follows the mouse is very handy |

C5 is great, everything is neatly placed in subfolders connected to the channel.
