did you actually go to the inserts section, click on the back empty background of the slot?
Some more info on your problem would help people help you
peace...

yhaa i figured it up after u said to open a fx channel in the sequencer i figured that maybe i need to open a group channel in the same way...
anyway another q :
is there any way to see the automation you do like you can see it in reason, i mean can you edit it?
supose i make an automation of 30 seconds. then i decide i want to change something in the middle of the automation , should i do the automation all over or is there any way of fixing it with a pencil or something???

Yes, you need to click the little + in the channel where you made the automation, then select it from the dropdown menu (usually marked with *).
If it's automation on a VST instrument, it creates an automation channel, scroll down in the arrangement window.
btw, wtf is an fx channel?

You had send effects in SX1 too, what's the point?

it's not just a new name : FX channels can have multiple effects on them (they appear as inserts on the FX channel). E.g. you might put a delay as insert 1 on an FX channel , and then put a reverb after the delay on the same FX channel so the output of the delay gets 'reverbed.'
You then 'send' to the FX channel.
On the other hand you can also send to a Group channel. And you can even send _from_ a group channel to another group channel. This is useful too : in the above scenario you might Send to a reverb rather than having it as an insert on the Delay's group channel. Then you can save CPU and reuse the reverb for other things.
So why use FX channels... why not just groups? Who knows. I still use em sometimes anyway!!
Once you get into all this you discover the wonders of routing in Cubase SX 2.... under what circumstances can you send from group A to group B? It depends
on the order they were created. Grrrrrr.... |
