Nathan - no new fashion... or you might say that chords has trends like everything else,
still do they sound alike?
there is enough chords to make innovative stuff for a long time, and with microtuning we have more to add aswell... and all these strange timbres..
ray charles build most of his music on three chords.

No, the tracks are not the same.
But it has almost similar accords and that what gives recycling dejavoo feeing. Like artist that use the same samples.
Anyway this just imho.

tons of music uses the same chordstructures/cadences. u found 3 tracks, but there are probably many more 
I dont think its fashion at all, this happens all the time.
