Aaahahaahhhh!! <3 thank you PoM
Thanks for sharing your secrets with me, i really appreaciate it, i'm trying out the sonEQ in a second xD
And dont worry about me stealing your sounds hahhaa
i only steal melodies.. e_e
How do i make this thing pop up in logic though?
I cant figure where to put it actually, quite stupid of me. I wish everything could just be.. installed hahahaa
no secret man this plug is one of the best ever made (from the one i tried including uad and ssl) )for what it does its just the best , if you like fat ,creamy ,dirty bassline, this and esm is heaven , your bassline will stink analogue sound hehe.(well after it s taste some don t like that creamy colored sound you can get with pushing some analog gear with input/output transformers but that plug + esm give very close result to that sound , you need to use just a bit of the overdrive on esm as it will clip a bit the peak making the attack more punchy and the sound creamy)
to install it you need to copy it in librairy/audio/plugins/components and drop it there (download the au/component plugin from the site not the vst )

You can make your own box, there are many ways to do it
1 - Bounce note by note C1 to C3
2 - Bounce the note C1 without decay
3- You can use the ESM is very good or you can also use Soundtrack Pro or any other DAW or AU, VST to create a Saw in the Note Freq C1 = 65.4
tips : once you're in the box function of the EXS24 removes 1SHOTE and active PITCH

Ahh, i've seen this one. If i had the CronoX 2 i could have been able to follow this tutorial! thats the main reason i made this topic1 because the V3 is completely different to the v2, they dont look alike in any way! its confusing!! hahaha xD
but i'll give this a shot and kinda find a way, the Acid Bass sample sounds like something i should start off with.

That one makes just a nasty clicking noise when the cutoff is high tho :/
and the bass just wont snap right! anyone else having these problems?
or do ES2 work just fine for your fullon basslines?

i didn't read all the thread. just listened to your bassline. it's not so good....it's sounds too me too much warm. maybe many low mead. and not enough low end. and it's not snappy enough. but your real problem hear is not the bassline, it's the kick! the kick is too short and also doesn't has much low end. when your kick is good the bassline sounds better also. and the dynamic between the kick and the bassline it's also very important! i hear many pro's tracks that i think their bassline is not so good but they know how to make it sit together with the kick and then the bassline sounds pretty good even if the source is not so good.
another tip is don't turn the faders at the envelpoe automatically the way people told you to. at different vst's the envelopes work different. you have to listen carefully and do what fills good for you.http://www.youtube.com/user/ChichkeMultiTech http://www.soundcloud.com/chichke http://twitter.com/chichkemusic http://www.facebook.com/chichke

don t like es2 for bassline but it could give ok sound with processing like most synths...i tried lot of synths and my favorites are analog synth saw (minimoog or something else ) esm or the synth in omnisphere(lack low end but when you remove the mud in the low mids the low get more room to shine , with a pultec style eq like soneq you can still get massive low end ). they all share that warm sound with no plastic tone and can sound almost the same except the analog need less processing with almost no mud in the mids and good low end.. es1 can sound great too but its a pain the get it right.
sylenth is great but a bit plastic, dont like much the osc for fullon bass, massive and largo are good too but their mid highs can sound a bit more harsh to me, same for zebra . ace is great but eat all the headroom.
to get a idea of my taste listen the track circuit breaker - circuit breaker it s the kind of bassline i like i listed above the synth that get me there.

I guess youre right
and i so extremely agree with ES1, it used to be my favourite synth for bass untill i got sylenth1, my god ES1 is a pain! good lord. But yeah, i have been thinking of trying out vanguard for bass, but usually when i attempt it actually peaks REALLY high, but almost no sound is coming out, so yeah, i prefer the sylenth1, though yes its got a quite plastic touch, but i'm okay with it.

sylenth1, if you got it, works wonders.
i use it for psy bass a lot these days (that, or esm saw wave still rocks it), and i use it for dubby, dubstep, reese, or any other type of bass really.
it just sounds fucking massive, that's all there is to it. lovely glide, decent filters and fantastic sounding when detuned. i often throw distortion on it when i start a tune, and end up mixing it in almost totally dry when i'm done. unprocessed it just sounds fantastic. wicked good for squelches, too!

yes sylenth is good ,some saturation can help if you find like me it s a bit plastic but dunno why it don t do it for me for full on bassline , i like more esm or a minimoog saw, it s more creamy and phat analog sound while sylenth is on the cleaner side, i like more dirty sound maybe. if you re on logic the exs24 minimoog saw is very usable too.
i have been doing bassline with omnisphere latly and for me it s the best with esm,the omni synth nail a analog phat sound when you remove the mud same as esm and es1.
if you want to buy trillian to make some psytrance bassline don t do it, omnisphere is better imo, the mini is badly sampled in trilian it seems, in omni it s a bit better.. but still some note don t sond good making it almost unusable if you dont sample it.
