Someone once said that the police in sweden don't have enough resources. That's totally wrong, if the police can afford to send five cars and a bus(!) to a small peaceful party on a beach just to close it down, then they don't have too little resources. That's just what happened this weekend at a very nice party that ahd to end at 2.30 instead of late in the morning. And I really wonder why the police took the dog patrol with them, they must really believe that we are heavy criminals or something.. |

That is soo sad to hear,i mean we´re practically neighbours(denmark)but the police is so different!!I mean soon they´re gonna start burning the CD´s,posters anything related to trance :( in the centre of town like they did in america the days prohibition(when somethings forbidden)but that was in 1920´s!!Then it waz cauz of the alchohol and later on it waz cauz of rock n roll.It waz thought to be satans music!!
Its so sick that ppl r so afraid of changes,that they have to go to the most extreme reactions!!
If i were u i´d fight for the right to party :)
I mean gather all the ravers(can be done on the net) and have a demonstration on the street,u ppl got to react cauz this wont stop,they´ll continue and u have rights to party and have fun!!! ;)

Hey - in our country the police has a lot of men and arms and stuff and they also have alot of crimes and national security problems to deal with but still they close parties all the time and treat all the people that like trance and go to parties like criminals...
something like 3 or 4 years ago there was a demonstration for trance in Israel it was called -"give trance a chance" and it was actualy a big rave in the central sqare of tel aviv infront of the city hall.
I don't think it changed much - but don't let the police break you - just try to do your thing out of their reach...

it changed a lot !! we created awareness !!! trance was on the headlines for a long time after that !! we are still fighting !! and those cops (or should i say the goverment) dont understand that the trance scene wont and can't be stopped !! FIGHT 4 YOUR RIGHT 2 PARTY !! |

Dont think negative u never know what could happen,i mean the gays had to fight and they did and look at them now they changed the system(for themselves)they can get married and also adopt children and what have u!!

Soory guys, i'm with auspexx here, give trance a chance didn't change anything... just a big party (which i've missed... fuc***g army...), and there was a disscussion in the "knesset" (someone plz translate this) about trance music and you saw there police officers and ministers in our government say that trance music is a source of drugs and shouldn't be considered as music at all... i lost all hope... UNDEGROUND is the way!

I'm actually thinking about adding a voice sample of kids saying "polis polis potatisgris" in a tune I'm working on.. now that would be perfect to put on when the cops come :):)
directly translated to english it means: "police police poatoe pig" :) |

Hey ppl, i´ve got a little funny story about my own little "Give Trance a Chance Riot"! MY DAD IS A COP and i love to party and dance, my dad hates my love to the music because he has seen trancepeople gone bad and its not a great view i´ve been told! And i can understand his conserns about teenagers out in the woods with psychedelic music and a lof of drugs! But that doesnt make it right to hate it! But my mom is on my side :) she wants to go to a party with me and see if its so funny as i say, sometimes when i get home i hear in the livingroom som beats pumping and there she is my mom "dancing" while she irons my dads clothes! NOW THAT U GOTTA SEE! :D So the trance to be or not to be discussion will be forever! Just live with it and love the music even if "other" people dont like it or not! I sure of one thing and i love it!
