Surround Mixing studio?

and even logic 7 got surround mixing capabilities...but i heard about a lot of sync issues with logic...and nothing bad about nuendo!!

Quadraphonic is cool, 5.1 beats it by a long shot. I would use a bassmanagement system and a digital mixing console with 1 good amp, 2 subs and 5 mid and hi end speakers each...... makes it so much easier and fun... also you can decide how much bass is coming out of the sub...
Yes, Logic , Nuendo and Ableton have possibilitie to go into that realm, Pro Tools however is insane concerning 5.1...
really easy to use and very intuitive...

yep...go for it....ableton does not have a surround panner in that sense...but but you can do find a workaround with autopanning...so that would be my choice for the stage...jep pro tools is pretty good for al that but consider the limitations of channels...or do you want to buy a HD system...
and yep for studio thats ok...with a digital mixing consol...we got th speakers connectet to the sends of the mixing deskt....and the mixer is connected with the computer about adat..no sync issues...easy to use as well...and not that expensive like pro tools...but its your decision...
