I've heared the concept of dubbing, and I think its about making a Send channel with some effects, and using its output to feed that Send, making the wet sound loop "forever"... Can anyone please help on this topic too?

hey man
i could recommend:
-steinberg reverb A
-waves true verb ( i like the preset: "millenium verb")
-lexicon pantheon
-fruity reeverb2
-ultrafunk reverb
imager is a good idea too, in combination, also combinations of reverb and delay, in any case use long decay times and large room spaces
good luck! |

I use ambience all the time. It's really nice.
What does that post mean? : "L20 USE ms decoder and narrow image"

Panned left 40 , m/s decoder (mid side) with it slightly narrowed instead of wide to the extremes. narrow is good when u u got group channel reverb fx panned at different parts 25, 45 or whatever makes sound good

The Reverb I know best is Reason's RV7000 although I'm still struggling to get the sounds I want out of it. But that's my problem, not the reverb unit. Some have said the RV7000 is the best software reverb unit out there. I think the secrets lie in EQ and post-reverb dynamics processing. Still doesn't help me when I go outside of Reason into Cubase, then I suppose the best ones I own are within the Reaktor series.
Eventually, I hope to get a UAD2 Express Card and I'm sure that will be my reverb of choice.
I've heard good things about Altiverb too.
Back to your question, try to find good articles on use of reverb. Sound on Sound magazine had one about six months ago. Computer Music is always featuring producer interviews and little tidbits on FX and EQ. Following the tutorials and articles has helped me and of course the experimentation too.
For downtempo, I like long reverb tails that are abruptly cut off I find it to really add to a groove or create unexpected twists in the composition.

Man I also really do miss the RV7000 in Reason now that I'm using Cubase. |

try adding a long reverb to your sound, then rendering, reversing, and then repeating with a different long reverb. you get this amazing long tail of decaying decay, it's really good!
also EQ your reverbs and any small modulation you can increase will help the tail to come alive and not sound sterile.
i have tried lots of reverb plugins but nothing has come close to Lexicon. i have an MPX-1 and there are a couple of amazing long verbs... 'Plate Space', 'Tajma Hall', 'Madison Sq. Garden', incredible. just keeps going and going... you can set delay time to 1 minute 5 seconds and reverb length to 100 metres!
