If you're quite new to Suns of Arqa the essential release is a double CD called 'Solar Activity 1979 - 2001' you can get their stuff from Arka Sound - 23 Whitechapel Street,Manchester,M20 6UB England. www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/1237/arqa html for me this is the definative Suns Of Arqa release.

Check http://www.sunsofarqa.co.uk/ for all info about them, including all their releases so far.

As CosmoNaughty said you can get a retrospective of their work in "Solar Activity". One cd I also like very much is "Aberglaube - The Remixes Vol. 3", where some of their tracks get remixed by other artists like Gagarin, Youth, Muslimgauze, Zombie. You can also get this remixes vol. 3 together with remixes vol. 2 in a double cd release. Vol. 2 features remixes by Sounds From the Ground, Zion Train, Astralasia, etc.

I think there is a remix album coming out on Liquid Sound Design of Suns of Arqa stuff soon, a friend of mine told me before christmas that he was doing a remix of a S.O.A. tune for them.

I have found "Live With Prince Far-I" with lot of luck in a discounted box of a large french 'general' music store...

5 Euros for a collector's item, lool I was so happy with it..

Some great stuff, perhaps Red Seal have enjoyed that one a lot..           .

indeed... look out for a smooth Sons of Arqua remix by Laughing Buddha on that, very deep and, yes, violins too!           Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!

Yeah My friend Is Lawrence (Kuba) , all round nice geezer and part of the Secret Curitree crew, he has the remix on this Suns Of Arqa CD and he also has his own album out on Liquid Sound Design soonish.

When I used to live in Bradford about 10 years ago we used to go across to Manchester to the New Ardri, A dodgy Hulme Irish club where Suns Of Arqa would have their Club night / Jam Sessions and some inspirational nights were had.
Sometimes Suns Of Arqa are hit and Miss , Sometimes they touch your soul but either way I'm glad they exist.
