GMS on Friday? Or am I wrong?
F**k!!! I arranged everything to travel to the party on saturday....now I really don't know what to do...
Hope to be wrong on this issue...any help would be much appreciated! |

GMS playing on Friday???
Ok, so this is why they are scheduled to play in Danemark on Saturday... now I get it...hehe.
At first I tought they would just simplly not come (see my post of jully 27th... 1 month ago!!), but now yeah they do come but only on friday so they can get their double booking weekend.
I feel sorry for the promoters that, I am sure, got no other choice than to accept this conditions or to see GMS cancel their venue in Swiss. Which would have been a disaster for the party and the promoters...
I say this attitude of the GMS managment is scandalous and they should be ashamed for such a mean commercial blackmailing.
Promoters spend weeks and months planing all details of a gig, and belive me it is HELL sometimes, they take care of all, they pay the fucking plane and hotel, they manage a transport and pay the artist's fees. They do all the communication, and engage their credibility toward the scene, and because a damn booking agent is too unorganized and too greedy they have to change all their plan or take responsibility for all. And the fans are the ones paying for all this, they are just hostages treated like shit. Like it or leave it...
I am shocked by such a poor consideration for the scene. These guys should really be ashamed. For this I will not go and see GMS and never will I book them on the line-up of any of our gigs. I suggest we start a black list of artists that do not work honnestlly with the promoters and fans and we don't book them again (any names guys...)
All the best to the promoters for this festival, I know how much time and efforts have been dedicated to this party and really hope you will have a nice time. I am sure that all the other artists on the line-up will be killers.

For a name as big as GMS there should be contracts making sure that both the agency and the party crew get/give things as agreed...
At the least this is what happens when you organize a rock concert (it's my job!)....I think that a psy-party like this should deserve the same professionality....

what?! Never book gms on one of our venues? that makes me a sad fraka   ... never say never my friend.
i think it is quite usual for popular acts/djs to have double or even triple bookings on a single weekend, gms marks no exception. if you check out the infected mushroom tour schedule, you'll see that these guyz sometimes perform more than 4 times LIVE a week at different places/countries. so, why is it the artists fault to accept a booking on friday in swiss and on saturday somewhere else ? i would do the same...
the gms (actually it's 1200mics with raja) booking in denmark on sept 3 has been announced and confirmed now since weeks.

so, there was never a word about a possible cancellation of the party in copenhagen. knowing this and with a bit of logical thinking it was clear that gms will perform on a friday here in swiss.
so, who's fault is it? i think it's up to the promoters to announce the playing time of such a huge headliner like gms at least more than one week in advance ... to avoid a case like Licio2 who has planned his trip to swiss just on a saturday.

Really really good party!
Arrived on sat evening: breathtaking location, good sound, good party people.
Didn't like most of the night acts, but I really enjoyed XSI, Liquid Sunshine and dj ResQ. Excellent music
All progressive music on sunday morning was really marvellous.
Really unforgettable way to end (my) party season for this year.
I expected twice the amount of people, but the overll mood was very good anyway.
So compliments for Klangwerk for putting this together, brilliant organization...
