Summer Parties in Japan

Namaste my friends,
I plan to go back to Japan and enjoy the marvelous vibe there for a month this summer and I wanted to know when the big festivals are forecasted. I couldn't find anything on the web so that's why i am asking here :-( I would like to take advantage of many events and plan my travel dates according to this. I already saw the impressive link list on psy16 but most organizers don't speak about their summer 2006 events. Any clues ?

i think it's a problam because no one is thinking or talking about a party less then a month before the event, there is no need in that.
i think you should check a few days before you go & if the parties are the main event of your trip, you should hungout in those places most of the parties are taking place.
Tokyo & Osaka have many parties & all the big festivals are located at the same place (most of the times!)
Fuji mount is one of the places in Japan that you should take a visit & catch a party in.
this is what i know but maybe an inside info from one of the japanese here in the forum might help you more...

August 27 - 28: Genkanon: Azax Syndrom + more
August 27: The Beach 2005: Space Cat, Dynamic, Beat Hackers, Perplex, Dominic... + heaps more.
September 1 - 3 Labyrinth: (Progressive Party)
September 23 - 25 Earth Energy: Slum, Theoreme, Kemix, Batta +more TBA.
September 23 - 25 Anoyo: System 7, Uscus, Tsuyoshi, Astron, Supernova, Omb, So, Nori
September 23 - 25 Vision Quest: Skazi, Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Sub 6, Sun Project, Alien vs the Cat, Dali, Alternative Control, Melicia, Star X, Xerox and Illumination, Shulman, Shanti, Dino Psaras, Dali, Space Cat, John "00" Fleming, Mitsumoto... +lots more to be announced.
- Arcadia and Utage (Stargate) have stopped producing parties... I think.
- The big festivals usually happen around the same dates with very similar line-ups.
-Something I heard is Anoyo will have more outdoor parties this year, maybe 3 - 4?
Earth Energy will happen...
May 20-21
July 15-16-17
September 16-17-18
- Mother will have a party Golden Week May 4,5
- Most of the festivals above you can access from Tokyo. Except Solstice was in Gifu I think (bit far)
- Dont know much about big festivals around Osaka or other regions. Hope someone else on this forum could give some info.
- I really recommend checking out some of the smaller underground parties like Manas, Earth Energy, Dat Mafia, Anomaly... etc. These went off big time last year. Fantastic Vibe!

Kens just about stated everything.
The BIG party season starts at the End of July till the end of September.
Any time between these months, and you`ll find a good festival every weekend all around Japan. |

Well Ken i guess that's the most detailed response that i could get ! It's just exaclty what i wanted to know !  Thanks a lot this will be very helpful in planning my summer trip.
I've actually heard a lot of good about small underground parties also:-)
In 2002 I also went to a nice psychedelic (but not only trance) festival called Hotaka 'Music of the Spheres', is ti still happening ?
