Hi guys, i just applied everything I know regarding electronic music production and created a NOT so long track (4:30), I just wanted some feedback, and if u guys could suggest what is missing, or what might need improvement. It's supposed to be a 'dark' psy track but i'm not so sure anymore, bah who cares about labels right?
I'm open to criticism . Mind u i just started music production 2 months ago .
I'm not if this is the appropriate place to post this.
Thanks and all feedback will be appreciated.

i've only listened with my laptop speakers, but obviously u have to work on the sounds levels abit, some stuff sounds way to loud and the bass sounds way to low and unphat.
u say u've only been producing in 2months, for 2 months this is very good imo. U have lots of tricks and stuff going on and i can hear u are really on the right way. sounds like u listen to psykovsky and that kind of russian stuff =) think i can reflect some of that influences in this track of yours.
Just keep practicing and be more carefull with the levels and try get that beat phatter. looking forward to follow ur progress.
btw, what daw ur in?
cheers mate!

I'm currently using ableton live. Thanks again. |

try tweak it as good as it gets, what vst u use for bas?
eq away unnessesery frequences boost some middle range freq's play with velocity for nice groove, try sample just one note of the bas that ur happy with and sample that for a more stable sound etc.
there is lots of shit u can do, try compressors, i donno, go nuts bro =)
i think tweaking the synth correct at first is nr1 priorety then eq and sometimes even a small delay on the bas could give some nice effect to it.
cheers!

Dude your certainly in the right track as wizack said. You have a good structure going and some really interesting ideas. I think that the hardest part you easily overcame witch is the construction of the track, the rest is peanuts (+/-), its not the technical part of sound engineering that defines a good artist
If you saw the Tom Cosm video then you should try doing what he did, get 2 operators working together one with the subs and the other with mids and highs aplly 1ms delay on that one and voila!
About the Eq you should focus more on that, there's a few things you can try
Synths - cut 300hz below if you want some body on the sound - Cut 500hz below if its a high pitched synth - cut 200hz below if its a deep synth
this is not an absolute thing but i assure you that you will get the point and quick results.
If you choose your sounds well right from the start all the eq your going to be doing is simple cuts of unnecessary freqs, like a high hat that, just as the name says, its a high frequency element so all those low mids and low freq are there just occupying space, the same logic applies to all the other elements of your track, kill whatever freq that is not useful for your desired sound
Keep at it!
