Well till a couple months ago i thought japan had one of the best scene`s in the world. but lately this place sucks!!!! THere are only two labels coming over here. TIP and 3d vision. All parties over here have the same sound same vibe. its so boring!!! Are there any labels or artists coming over to japan which can change the flow of the japanese trance scene. Can people of this forum help us out?

the only party i am looking forward to acidance label party. thats about it. No more sun project, GMS, Talamasca, absolum, Nomad, space cat, please.

I feel your pain. Really. If I would have had to live with 3dv sound all the time I think I may have died. Thank God for progress (pun intended).

actually, that's what I think about GMS, and they're 2 years too old as that.

The sound of TIP and 3D Vision rules almost everywhere on the planet these days,
not only in Japan & Russia -
in Mexico,Brazil, and lots of places in europe also.
This is the sad reality, but it won't last forever.

About the Japanese scene however ,i'm sure your'e aware of it that the japanese party people are the best on the planet.
They are coming to a party to have FUN!
they will eat anything with a kick, and will swallow it with screams and joy.now that's a crowd.

Hikary,
did u go to the Hujaboy party btw?
now he isn't your typical 3-Tip vision artist is he...

I didnt know that the dileema of japan was going on everywhere. just thought it was a thing of japan. since its becoming so commercial over here.
well its good to know its not only us. Maybe something new will start, like ShivaS said. I will be waiting for that day. hopefully sometime this year?
Mr. hanky, i had missed the hujaboy cosmosis party. It was on the same day as a diffrent party which i had to dj at. I usually miss good parties over here, for some reason. But i still remember one party that killed me about a year ago. PSYSEX at Club Fura(it was by ARCADIA). I think you guys came to DJ, it wasnt Live, that party was a sure killer. That was the beggining of the new music and new vibes coming in to japan.

Actually, there are very few places which are "cutting edge" as far as trance is concerned, but I was (and still am) a firm believer in that organic change in trance sound, which keeps the music interesting. As much as I love goa and will always have a soft spot for it, I'm glad the scene moved on. The "meat" sound never really got me going, so I'm happy that trance continued evolving after that. About Japan, well, don't worry, historically Japan knows a good thing once it gets there :)

did u ever consider yourself why only 2 labels as usay are coming in japan? just think about it
we have the same problem in greece the same people all the time & when u bring a new artist no one shows up only 300 people.names brings money hikari and the opposite.so why to take a risk and bring someone which is not well known to the people? business man.............

hey hikari,
totally agree man. to me there is nothing worse than a 3d vision party in tokyo. a friend once described one of those parties as "a demented children's playground." thank god i have had years to adjust to the scene going that way. if i had seen one of those out of the blue three years ago i think i would have cried. but don't totally despair. stargate's anti/reefer decree party this weekend should be good. and for fresh sounds, check out out the next Mindgames party this summer. (sorry, outdoor parties only) we are only bringing out people fresh to japan, and no GMS. when i booked dj's last summer, i told them we had one rule only: anyone who plays a GMS track doesn't get paid, and anyone who plays the GMS star wars track has to walk to the airport . my dj's were only happy to agree! did you go the Labyrinth? we had son kite, shiva chandra, intact instint, human blue, double dragon, mahasuka, james monro, mapusa mapusa, emok, and spiralkinder. 3-day party and not one single tip.world/3d/GMS song!! i can't tell you who we are bringing out this summer, but we don't give a damn about making money, and we don't give a damn if anybody knows the names out here. i am just committed to bringing the freshest, phatest sounds to a big sound system near you.

I guess business is business. Sam you are right why call people if the crowd dont come. But on the other hand people like me wont go to those parties. I would much rather go to Parties that are fresh as Russ said.
Russ i love your idea of parties. I will go check out your next party. will you please mail me of information.
Maybe if you are free come check me out sometime. I spin at core, cube and Fire.
Sam i am looking forward to seeing you at Your label party. good luck.

Maybe some one could set a isratrace.com party over here. That would be killer. New music new taste. something i am still searching for in this country.

If you ask me, the problem is not the labels. They don't come by themselves to Japan. The problem is with the promoters. there are 3 big promoters and two of them bring ONLY those 3D/ TIP/ GMS (which personally I like, but only them !?), unfortunately, I am responsible for the birth of one of those promoters but when I was in Japan and it was in our hands, the idea was different, that's why we brought Goblin of Psysex to Fura Club (Psysex was not famous at all at this time in Japan). But now other people took control and all I can see in Tokyo it's a war of making money between those monster huge promoters.
To my opinion Solstice are still making a good vibes parties with various labels and artists and they are JAPANESE !!!

From here I can only say: Good luck to all the small promoters in Japan !!! The Japanese people need you ! Keep the vibe, try all kinds of trance music, the Japanese crowd defiantly worth the best !
