I have two Dynaudio BM6a mk II and I´m thinking of buying the Dynaudio BM 9S subwoofer...

Any thoughts about this? does it help that much at all?

I think my kick/bass is almost perfect as they are but i´d like to try a subwoofer to really here how the low freqs sound..

Anyone mixing with subwoofer? and anyone used a subwoofer and then stopped using it?

You've already answered your self.
If you get the sound you want as you are, change nothing.
If you have cash to spend, get the sub to enjoy a bigger sound in the studio. If it is an obstacle when mixing, turn the sub off.
One thing to consider tho is if your room large enough and treated. A sub might make things worse in a small and untreated room.

Peace out.

Thanks for the tips guys!

disco hooligans: Yeah.. I like the idea of having multiple freqs to mix on.. in the future, im thinking of buying smaller but good monitors.. just to see how the mixes sound on different monitors..

I have a lot of damping on the walls. im going to invest in more.. but when i move next time...

So.. Well i think im gonna buy the sub.. Good for the future =)

it depend totally to your room acoustic if the sub will help or not, and yes in a good room the bm6a benefit from a sub imo but you can do fine wihout..it s just if you want to hear more detail down there and extend the bandwish .
i use a sub but i just turn it on sometimes, not always on, it s good for getting a better idea of how it will sound in a club or on big pa system ,the low end can also be cleaner on sub and more flat ,but yes totally depend the room, it can do more harm than good..
spending the money in acoustic could be more helpfull if you dont have any,a sub is icing on the cake with monitors that go as low as the bm6a

By the way, when I was out shopping for monitors, I went to Turnkey in London and tested a whole load of monitors in the same (massive) room they had them all. The BM6A (without the sub) did not go low at all, I much preferred the Mackie HR 824s, which I ended up buying, but you do need a room that is not small, otherwise the HR824s are not a good choice at all.
Wish I had enough cash for the BM15As, they were the bomb!

Peace out.
