Hi

I have the Event PS6 and I think I need a Subwoofer, because my Audio Mix-Down have to much Bass and the Hi Freq. are to soft when I hear it on a Hifi-Box.
When I go out of my room I hear there is to much bass, but when I sit in the front of the Events I canīt hear it. Question: Is the distance between me and the Monitors to small ??
Do you think the Event PS6 donīt need a Subbass and then how can I make the complete track louder ?
Have anyone the TANNOY - REVEAL SUB 10 ?

do not use subbass couse it take the "real" (flat) sound out of your production.
u just need to "learn" your monitors and know what then really meen when you hear them.

well i have had good results using a subwoofer,
but the setup of one such is very important and can require professional help.you should as a rule of thumb use an event subwoofer just to be sure that your speakers match.
another thing to take into consideration is your acoustic environment.does it alter your perception of the sounds coming from the speakers.
do a google search on studio acoustics itīs a vast subject but it can give you an idea of what i am talking about.you can have million dollar speakers and still get awful results if your room isnīt sounding properly.           Mastering available here:

when u use monitors u need to check what u do on a stereo system and than u know the things u need to do allways that will sound good on the stereo
the biggest problem ever is acustic!!!

The sub-bass u hear called "standing waves" .
Why standing waves ?
Because those r low-frequency waves jumping from
one wall to another , that's why u can hear(feel)
them in the back of yo room .
To avoid this effect u need some accoustic threatment
(put a carpet on the floor and the walls that
close to your listening position)
Never put yo monitors in the corners of
the room, because it doubles the bass power .
Some tip for sub-bass: if u can hear the "tone" of
yo sub-line clearly , it will sound good on smaller
speakers .
