Sub-consious and the music

I was watching some Guru on you tube for manifestation. He was saying to recite mantra for manifestations. Wat i did was I affirmed my self that i make good music .. i kept saying i make good music .. i make good music .. i make good music.. i make good music.. for like ten minutes.. then.. i went in my studio.. and i started working fast.. with out thinking of any other thing.. jsut adding the sounds.. and.. i used only one synth.. and bounced them... after tweaking.. then.. i arranged them.. took me like an hour.. but when ever the thought that may be it is not the rt sound came into my mind.. i cut that thought out.. and kept doing it..
I arranged around 3 minutes track. then all sorts of thoughts came.. may be i should check the sounds.. and i got confused.. i stopped.. then i could not create perfect sounds after i got confused..
im still checking.. all the sounds i created with out thinking that it might not be right are siting together in harmony and it sounds very killa..
so.. i believe.. that wat ever we should do we should do it with confidence.. and the rt things do come up...
and if our mind tries to trick us saying im no good.. then.. we dont get it rt..
may be you could try this as well.. but.. one thing.. when ever u think may be this is not rt.. jsut get rid of that thought and keep doing it.

yea man.. this happens to me lots.. its good to work spontaneous but it pays to have the general idea in mind.. or we're likely to get lost in the infinite things possible.. |

I used to do this after using Brain Entrainment and i got some great results, good fun too

Yes and it really works! I read this post a while ago, of course coincidentally at the same time i had just discovered the power of mantras.
I meditated and used mantras now for two days, similar ones like; I am a psytrance musical wizzard, I make great music, and so on...
I made track on these two days, and it is the best i have made so far. But then it's almost my first complete song anyway.
But it works really good this Tecknique!

I never cared much about meditation yet, but this sounds intresting.
Ist it just like sitting down and repeating that "mantra" of yours? ( I think in german its called "autosuggestion"?)
Or is there more to it? ANy sources on the Net where I can read a bit about it?

kryten: it works best if you do it when u wake up, first thing. And before sleep, when in an alpha state, so then it would have time to be developed in your sub/unconsciousness.
If you do it during the day, then it would be helpful to suggest to your mind the alpha state, by listening some music (from ambient/chill or some piano to just sines of specific freqs). In addition with closed eyes, looking slightly upwards you can induce alpha state.
