Stylus Rmx and library on diffrent partition?

First of all i just want to say that i read the manual but its really crap and i can´t manage to get stylus to recognize the shortcut i put in the installation-folder. So this is what i´ve done so far:
Installation folder:
C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics <--- Inside here i put a shortcut of the SAGE folder which is located here: E:\SAGE
IS there something more i need to do because it won´t find it, is there a patch that solves this issue yet or?

when click on the shorcut does it open the sage directory and u can see "SAGE Libraries" and "Stylus RMX" ?

well if you click on the shortcut and you see the "Stylus RMX" dir...then the shortcut is ok, it should work then...try to delete the shortcut and create a new one. |

Yeah, use the SpectraMove tool. If I recall it doesn't work 100% of the time and the whole process is kind of buggy.
I think you can also reinstall from scratch and tell it to install somewhere else...? I kind of gave up on Stylus and Atmosphere etc after a few system reformats because this whole process was such a pain in the ass.

Agreed. If you re-format your drive its a nightmare to load them again, especially Trilogy which is a gazillion disks.
The SpectraMove tool works most of the times but it is buggy.
You should be able to load the data file on ur external and the tool just tells the plug-in where that file is.

hey vegetal, do you have the Stylus version wich has the .DAT library files? or the new ones? i have the latest and I fought this problem for weeks i remember, and the only way i could solved it was installing the library on the root drive of my disk (C:\) and put the shortcut named 'SAGE' on the same folder than the VST file, in my case the shortcut is like this: "C:\Archivos de programa\Spectrasonics\SAGE"
I have my libs and stuff on a different drive like you, but IMO its some kind of bug that dont let you do that. |

Vegetal - I had the same problem. Managed to get my hands on a utility similiar to spectramove. Did the job perfectly. Will search for it and let you know what its called. |

Yeah try a fresh install. If you already have the DAT files on another drive, I think what I used to do was start the installation and then cancel it when it asked for disc 2, so then the folders and registries were set. Then just manually copy the DAT file or make a shortcut.
Also if you shortcut didn't work, I seem to remember the directory structure was weird in that it had what seemed like an extra level of folders where the dat files lived that I was messing up.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but that is the whole problem with this software, it was always a huge challenge that I barely got working and forgot the details of when the time came again for another install.
