How do I duplicate a track in Cubase? Let's say I have a drum track, and I want to make an exact copy of it. How?
If I try to copy and paste it justs pastes it in the original track. What am I doing wrong? I'm sure there is something really simple I missed...

Just paste it and put the pasted part in other chn. (you can put it under the channel list), when there is empty space under the channels..
(btw, ctrl+t will open new chan under the one you are on..) |

its simple :
You open a new chanel under the one you want to copy from and the hold the CTRL key and drag the sample down under it to the new chanel.

just A little tip:
using CTRL you will make new ghost part. Ghost means that all changes made on the part you made ghost of will change the ghost too. using ALT will just paste as ctrl+v. (to select few parts together use SHIFT).
cheers.! |
