if i record a 48 klhz wav file in a cd what is going to happen?
1 - i ll get terrible quality
2 - i ll get normal 44 klhz quality
3 - how can i record files with more then 44 klhz in a cd without going to studio and making a dat
4 - forget all this and record a dat
tks for your help i asked this because my cd burner is not here and i hav to record in another place so im lazy lol |

You can't burn a 48 khz file on an audio cd, but you can burn it as a wav file on a data cd.
Convert it (using sound forge for example) to 44.1 before burning. |

ha chi, even if you produce a high quality product in 48 khz you will always will have to convert in to 44.1 khz couse 99% of the CdPlayers wont read this khz so work from the begining in 44.1 khz and save the time. |

99%? i thought it was 100%
cd standard sound is 44.1 khz
thats because sampling rate on any6 recording is supposed to be twice the highest frequency in the recording
some boffin somewhere when developing cd concluded that 22.05 khz was a sufficiently high top frequency for the human ear to process when dealing with information playefd back by a hifi

I know some DVD players can read 48 and 96 audio... Or maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, normal audio cd's can record only 44.1khz. |

but i ll follow the tip to record in 48 klhz in wav data file and send to the label i ll send
i made in all 44 and 48 but 48 is REAAALY MUCH BETTER quality when i export to sound forge so i ll keep this

It's not much better.
48 (and 96) is good when still editing because of all the calculations and stuff are in high resolution, but when hearing, 48 and 44.1 are exactly the same. |

if u use nero program to burn, it will turn a 48khz audio file into 44.1 on the cd (audio, not data)
(at least it does in my version :)) |
