Hi dudes! i have a question. i wanna know what is the name of all the "effects" used in a psytrance full-on song, like the cut's, the gold rays, and others.
When a sound like Vanguard is startring from down to up and a crash at the end. and the music explode, THAT! kind of stuff i wanted to know.
Somebody can help me!? ;D

what song? what the hell is gold rays? what did you smoke?
anyway... I think your talking about a slide from 1 note to another. it called portamento and it can be done in almost every soft synth.

Most effects don't have any names ... That is why it is often so hard to describe.

Gold Ray must be that one whooshy bleepy thing with the "wah-wah-wah" effect and the echoey "dwee-dwee" sound. Or maybe it's the zappy crunchy sound with buzzy aftertaste.

well dudes, a gold ray, is a thing that imagine it:
a very rapidly song @ 148bmp's.. and in some part of the song it stops! and you hear a sound low.. and it will be more up.. when the sound is at the top next you hear a crash! and the BASSLINE AT 100% FULL VOLUME POWAH! KILLAH! AHHHHH IM DIE!! HAHAHAHAHA.. FUCK... HEY DUDES YOU UNDERSTOOD?? LOL...
Well a friend of me tells me that the "effect" is called a Gold-ray here in México, maybe in other parts of teh world. whoever.. Psytrance r0x, and we r0x. lol..
