Yup I will agree 100% work flow/stability is unmatched in Studio One, then again if I were a MAC person I would probably already be using Logic 
But from other Logic users they too are impressed with Studio One ..
And Ricciardo on top of saving all that info you can use the musicloop save feature to save just patches with your synths/insert's etc for fast recall.. just add a small empty piece of midi even just a 16th note and save that. I have tons of these already.
And I also agree both sample one and impact really suck as they are.. But lately I don't even bother with samplers I just layout the samples where I want them and as we get per clip fx even more possibilities without the whole midi/effect/bounce process..
I will also agree that Studio one does lack many things that are under the hood in other Daws but some of those have decades of code in them so they have no excuses

No not since 5.5 was dropped for PC.
I still even have the huge dongle and huge manual lol...
But the automation still looks like the best, as well the stock fx/synths are very good from what I hear in many tracks And all the capabilities the environment gives under it's hood... But even despite all that, if tomorrow brought the end of the PC and only MACs were available...
I would go buy a guitar instead
when was the last update for Logic? are they still even developing it? Or will it become abandon ware?
Also it seems the presonus peeps are trying hard to keep the excess fat to a minimum, which I like I just need afew more additions/features and I'm good

Soon when Bitwig is out, we gonna spit on S1 and than we can crown him and others will be outdated, never ending story.

Maybe.. I'm interested in what Bitwig will bring to the table for sure. But right now the only new things are the separate process for vst's the per note pitch and the native modular system..
I never used the clip view in Ableton I doubt bitwig would change that....

there is many updates , maybe one every 2 or 3 months but no new features, just bug fix .
it feel abandoned or maybe they are working on logic 10, i hope !
about studio one i really enjoyed it when trying but one thing turned me down is it was not possible to make mono buss , and make mono tracks out of some plugin synth track if i remember right, it was deal breaker for my needs.
i wonder if now it s possible? |

yes the probleme is i couldn t use a mono in/out plug to use a mono hardware piece (don't remember the exact plugin name that is bundled with studio one to integrate hardware like a plugin ) |
