I have a few friends who own tapco S8s and they are all very happy
I think they sound very nice tight and punchy
definately value for money
check out the m-audio bx8 havnt heard those though, might be worth a listen |

I have some Tapco S5's which I got for a bargain. I'm very happy with them, although being 5.25" they are a bit lacking in the bottom end. The S8's would belt out plenty of bass though I'd imagine. |

I too have the s5's and am fairly happy with them. The bass is tight and punchy but doesnt go too low. The maunal says they go to 53 Hz but realisticly I'd say they drops off rapidly under 60-70 Hz. Wouldnt be a problem with the S8's I'd imagine. The mids and highs are very clear with good depth althogh i feel there is a dip in the upper mids around the 3-5 KHz range.
Only complaint I have is they stereo image on them isnt too good although I think this is a reflection on how flat these things are. Very unexcited sound. |

I have Tapco S8, man only thing I can say is THEY ARE AWESOME!Believe me, sounds so good!They are big ones  that's the true and like Hex Osirus sais S5 are "tight and punchy"...
S8 are more powerfull
If you want to hear clean bass then buy them.Also you can check this web page if you want, it's all spec and pics too: http://www.tapcoworld.com/products/s8/index.html

I have s-5.They ARE smaller,but,the quality of sound you get for that sum of money is excelent!Go for it! |
