Alesis M1 Active Mk2.
On of my studio monitors stopped working today: when I switch it on, i hear the sound for 1 second, then the sound dissapears...
The led is kind of blinking instead of normal working...
A very low-level non-music sound comes from the twitter...
Any ideas what can it be?

Blinking LED makes me suspect power failure, but when you switch it on, does the LED light dissapear together with the sound?

I don't remember how they look I used to own a pair of these to and if I remember correctly they don't have a fuse right?
Otherwise I have no clue, perhaps it was just time for you to get a new pair

Anyways, until my technically advanced friend comes and repairs it, i have a chance to test all tracks for mono-compatibility!

whatever it is, it is not going to be expensive to fix.
If you do end up getting a new pair, keep them, they are good hi-fi(ish) speakers to listen to your mixes on.
My primary monitors are the HR824s and I still use my Alesis M1 mk2 actives for every tune, to get an idea of what it sounds like on a more hi-fi kind of speaker.
Peace out.
