Hey man i tried all brands of headphones and beleive me when i tell you that the best sound for electronic music is in the Roland RH-300 they have a massive sound quality and it's very similar in frequencies to the big outdoor systems...Incredible make and an amazing sound,

i have Sennheiser HD650s... absolutely amazing headphones, but almost too good for psy they are brutally revealing - bitcrushing, clipping etc. just sounds awful.

although to smoke a spliff & listen to your favourite recorded music... wow           http://www.myspace.com/aeonaeon

Hey what is with this natural surround sound in the Ultrasone dj-1 Pro? Zork, did you try that with surround? I mean a stereolayback of 5.1 !
Wodering how that would turn out.

I have AKG K 240 HD, and they are very good. Clear and flat. A newer version of them is the K 242 HD. Be advised that they do not sound very loud due to operating in 600 ohm impedance, but this shouldn't be an issue if you have a headphones jack on your sound card or something similar.

You should expect some hard time with them in the beginning, as with any monitor, but after you get their feel, you'll have very accurate results. You'd still need a good pair of studio monitors of course, basslines are pretty had to make with headphones only (for me at least).
