IKEA is great but we don't have them in Ukraine. Unfortunately. They can't deal with local authorities for over 4 years already, maybe even more.

that's a bummer. i see tons of ikea stuff in pictures of home studios on various forums.

and then there's this guy: http://ikeahacker.blogspot.com/

as for my monitor placement dilemma, i just ended up going to a hardware store and buying 10 cinder (cement) blocks. almost killed my back getting them into my car and then into my apartment. but they are much more stable than some of the $150+ stands i've seen and they only cost me 20 bucks.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

Found this, not too sure if the stands would hold speakers without breaking:

depends on what kind of speakers (i doubt that would hold my mackies). but you will be sitting way too close to them anyway. it'll be hard to work on your stereo image.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

Yeah I've been thinking about just getting some monitor stands so I don't have to worry about desk space.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Zoopy, I have a very similar desk, It's a Creation Station as well, different model. The desk itself is very sturdy and durable.

I my gear racked on it. Very easy to setup, it comes in a box with all parts separate. Also for the price I think is pretty affordable.           https://www.djjeto.com

Brazillians can be happy with this:

I use the RS-345, absolutely suits my needs.

The nice thing is the minimum acoustic interference. Highly recommend it!
