Bom ppl,
How my fellow trancers doing today???
I own a Dell inspiron labtop p4, 512 ram, 40 gb hd, and I was planning to buy some equipment to get a amateur studio setup.
I was looking at
MAUDIO RADIUM or EDIROL PCR30 for midi controller and a MAUDIOPHILE 24/96 interface. I have Reason 2.5 software for my virtual studio.
If all you great ppl on a higher level in this production game can please give me some feed back and comments I would higly appreciate it. I am considering picking this stuff in the next few days THANKS SO MUCH
Shankar!!!

Well, imo you should upgrade whatever you feel is limiting you.
If you need a midi controller, get one. If the cpu usage is too high, get a new cpu. etc

Hi,
I think your laptop is somehow ok, i'm suggesting you to leave the m-audio soundcard for the rock and pop producers
i sold mine few months ago and both luna instead- i'm very happy - anyway you don't need anything special but choose 1st the monitors 8" preffarably good sound card - and what are you doing with reason, i'm personally not working with it - very happy from all the tons of vst available and i have a hardware synths, anyway today's trance/electronic new age studios don't need so much of everything- you can do gre8 stuff with minimun equipment
have fun,

Hey Dude,,,,
i own a radium 49 and an audiophile USB from m-audio which both of them could be a very good solution for your laptop (when you say audiophile interface i suppose you mean the usb) and im very happy with both of them using reason 2 and logic 6 (NO LATENCY problems whatsoever)...
GO for it.....
Peace,
mike |
