what is the best vst synth for making strings?
or do u know some stand-alone soft synth 4 making some good strings?

Absynth is what you need.
Works as a VST, and standalone as well.

what do you define as strings?
for classic sound I use the Edirol orchestra.
on second thought...I dont use string at all..

D'cota is also nice...he got few strings in it...
FM7 also got few ...
but i prefer the AbSynth & Edirol like they said
